Meanwhile, Switzerland was also celebrating a premiere of its own: it was around this time that Carl F. Bucherer introduced a chronograph with a design that was ahead of its time.

The Patravi TravelTec is the perfect watch for frequent flyers and people who need to communicate all over the world. It is a time machine, developed with all the passion of the watchmaker’s art: strong character, imposing, yet harmonious. Powered by the specially developed CFB 1901.1 caliber. A chronograph that not only satisfies the highest requirements in terms of precision, thanks to its chronometer certification, but which also displays 3 different time zones simultaneously. Part of the switch mechanism for the time zone selection is integrated into the case, which makes this one of the most complex mechanical watches in the world. The innovative monopusher at 10 o’clock that controls this mechanism has been patented by Carl F. Bucherer.

With the push of a button, the inner ring of the 3rd time zone can be turned forward or backward (east or west) in one hour steps, depending on the position of the sophisticated switch mechanism.
